Seven Oaks is the dream of thirty plus years of individuals from the city wanting to experience the life and love of the land, the outdoors and the beauty of watching and experiencing the many wonders of the Lord. Today, Seven Oaks is a purebred breeder of some of the finest Hereford cattle in the Southeast. We have been in the cattle business since the 1970s, primarily in commercial cattle. Early in the 1990s, with the help of Ike Phillips at Holly Creek Farm, we began developing purebred Hereford cattle.

In 1997, after several years in the Hereford business, we decided that to produce the type cattle that we felt would put us on top of the bred as seedstock producers, we would need to have someone working full time.  That is when we hired Bryan Massengale. As luck would have it, we not only found a hometown boy from Senoia, Georgia, but also found a very talented young man that had the education and background to fill the goal we wanted to achieve. Most of all, he had the compassion and love for cattle and farm life.

Our program today is based on Victor-bred cattle, predominately F-243, BTCL Domino, 15G, E 44 F3 and 143A, with breeding emphasis on cattle of high-balance traits, weaning ratios and carcass qualities that produce high-quality performance seedstock. We are also outcrossing the Victor genetics with selected genetics from other Hereford lines to produce super Victor bulls and cows. We believe these cattle will be the future of the Hereford breed with outstanding genetics and balance traits. Theses selected genetics are from MW LLL Farley 24F, LLLSOP All Said 97K, VCR East Kodiak 506E, and the results so far are outstanding for both bulls and heifers.

In addition, we are developing a commercial heifer program to provide for the commercial breeder. Our  commercial cattle will be the outcross of Hereford, Angus and Brangus breeding from 100% purebred animals. This will produce maximum multiple-trait EPDs with carcass development to achieve and produce the optimum profit for the commercial cattle producer.
